As a DJ with well over a decade in the game, the artist professionally known as Jivefresh credits his fellow selectors for being as inspiring to his journey as the music itself. His preferred sound emulates the energy of a basement house party, encompassing a 70s-90s aesthetic of funk, boogie, boom bap, post-neo soul, groove heavy electronic and tasteful edits/reworks. With a style he calls #ModernVintage, a DJ Jivefresh set is open format by design, typically unplanned, curated live and intended to find the middle ground between music that’s timeless and music that inevitably will be.
